In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session
Last week I posted Leah’s gorgeous maternity session and today I have her beautiful lifestyle newborn session to share. As always, Leah was so relaxed and easy going for her session. Dad is a football coach for Robert Morris and his schedule is quite busy. We were able to get some great family pictures as well as some of just him and Remi before he had to leave. It is easy to see just how great Leah and LaRod are as parents. And of course, awesome big brother Cam was there , ready to show off his new baby sister. Remi’s nursery had some beautiful light that we took advantage of for Leah’s maternity session and I knew I wanted to do the same for her newborn session. There were also some nice, big windows in their family room which was the perfect place for their family picture.
Lifestyle Newborn Nursery Photos
I loved that we shot Leah’s maternity session in the nursery and that we were able to do the newborn session here as well. I wanted to recreate some of those images from her maternity session with Remi. We took advantage of that gorgeous window light and I loved how the photos turned out!
It was so much fun working (and playing!) with big brother Cam again. He watched over his sister as we photographed her and I am sure he will be pretty protective of her as they get older. He really loved just checking her out and looking at that sweet little face of hers.
As for little Miss Remi, she couldn’t have been an easier baby to work with. She slept the entire session and made it so easy! Her nursery was done in lavender and white so I knew I wanted to use this pretty lace wrap for her.
I absolutely loved meeting and working with this family! They were so sweet and kind. I loved hearing how Leah and LaRod met and seeing their wedding pictures. It makes the session so much more than just a photo session. It’s more about documenting this special moment in their lives so that they can look back and remember these moments. When you are holding your new little baby in your arms, it’s hard to imagine that you could ever forget that feeling. But, besides the fact that your sleep deprived and emotional, time passes too quickly. As the saying goes “the days are long, but the years are short”. These photographs are our ticket back in time. A ticket to a moment where we can remember the small details and feelings just by looking at a photograph.
